Previous to working with strength in motion, my workout experience had not been very effective and I found myself doing the same old thing without any drive. I also used to suffer from nagging lower back pain.
I have been training with Matt for approx 1 year, and my back strength has improved ten fold. He didn’t just hit me with the same old exercises without taking into account the issue. His session structure is always tailored to my goals and how my body is feeling and responding. I barely suffer from back pain now.
I am constantly challenged by new exercises that incorporate strength, cardio, and core training. Matt is knowledgeable, encouraging and professional. I would recommend him and the Strength in Motion team to anyone ready to listen to their body, and get into shape.
Having initially had my arm twisted to use a personal trainer, I haven’t looked back in the 2 years I’ve trained with Matt and Strength in Motion. His training focuses around core strength and full body exercises using functional training equipment (kettle bells, TRX cables etc) . As I have always played a range of sports, my cardiovascular fitness has always been good so I wanted to use this training to build on strength, flexibility, and to drop some body fat. All of which have improved massively.
Matt is always keen to mix up sessions, and keep my training progressive. He never loses sight of my goals, and the goals that he sets for me!! Matt and the strength in motion team have a passion for improving fitness and well being. In consultation with his recommended physios and osteopaths we have also successfully incorporated rehab work for previous long time recurring injuries into our sessions.
I started training with josh to improve my strength and increase lean muscle mass. This was quickly achieved and as of today I have put on 5kg muscle while at the same time losing fat. Through Strength in Motions balanced approach we have also addressed a niggling shoulder problem, which previous trainers ignored. I have also vastly improved my hip mobility which in turn has had an amazing impact on my lower back, which often gave me problems before. I’m looking better and feeling stronger and healthier than ever!
